Installation Art + Environmental Graphics

Led the design and project management of a large-scale environmental graphics initiative spanning an entire floor on campus of over 40 individual installation art pieces integrated into the architecture of the space. This project called for a strong balance of creative direction and logistical precision, from concept through final installation.

The process began with on-site wall measurements and space assessments to understand scale, sightlines, and application constraints across the floor. I collaborated closely with a communications strategist and the client to shape content language, tone, and strategic placement of each piece, ensuring the branded environmental graphics aligned with institutional messaging while still feeling dynamic and site-specific.

To keep the project organized at scale, I developed a comprehensive digital floor plan mapping every art type to its physical location, streamlining coordination across teams. I worked in tandem with an internal print and displays shop as well as an external vendor to manage print signage production, material selection for varying applications (from wall murals to smaller signage formats), budget tracking, supply sourcing, deadlines, and installation logistics.

Spanning four months and multiple rounds of revisions, this project sharpened my project management skills while reinforcing my ability to design at scale — working confidently with large canvases, adapting creatively within client constraints, and delivering a cohesive visual experience that exceeded expectations.
